The quality of the battery in your AEG airsoft rifle is an important part of the rifle's performance. A powerful and long lasting battery will give you more play time and a higher rate of fire than your competition. On the other hand, if your battery is weak your rifle will fire at a slower rate and it will not last as long. So, it is important to get a good batter so that you can stay competitive and stay in the game!

Battery Basics:

Batteries come with female end plugs. The plugs are either large or small.

Small plugs have: a square end with a black wire, a round end with a red wire.

Large plugs have: a square end with a red wire, a round end with a black wire.

A battery has a Voltage (V) & a milliAmpere hours (mAh). For AirSoft, the V affects the rate of fire and the mAh affects battery life while in use.

Charge time for batteries is determined by the charger that is used. To determine the charge time take the mAh of the battery and divide it but the mAh output of the charger you're using. The quotient is the charge time required to recharge the battery if it is completely dead. For safety's sake it is best to reduce the charge time by about 25%.
