Airsoft pistols come in many forms. The most popular ones are gas powered. There are also electric airsoft pistols but the problem is that it is hard to fit a powrful battery into such a small handgun. This is why gas is more popular.

Airsoft pistols come in many different shapes and sizes. Most of them are modeled after real pistols by well known manufacturers like Smith & Wesson, Heckler & Koch, Beretta, SIG SAUER, and Steyr Arms.

Pistols are usually not used as a primary weapon in airsoft. Most players use them as sidearms, for use when their main weapon is out of ammo or when they are in tight spaces where a full sized rifle is too big and bulky.
